1) Respect your organisation
Do not treat your workplace as a mere source of income. If you want to be respected by your employer and fellow colleagues, you must be willing to display the behaviour and etiquette that you wish to see returned to you.
2)Take responsibility for your actions
Professionalism is in the details. By being responsible and able to take ownership of your mistakes, you’ll be setting a positive example. Be true to your word and stick to it. Avoid the nasty blame game and finger pointing in the workplace.
3)Respect your colleagues
Use the “whole person” approach. Remember that the “whole person” comes to work everyday. This includes any stress related to their personal and family lives. It is essential to greet your colleagues with a smile, show respect and provide assistance when needed. Do not be involved in controversies or the spreading of rumours.
