1) Take notes
A candidates resume may not cover all bases and new information may be brought forward in the interview, ensure that you are taking notes.
2) Interview approach
Interviews can either be a mix of formal or informal and can have open or close ended questions. Ensure that there is a balance because extremely formal or informal could pose several problems.
3) Nature of questions
A few areas to ask questions on, could be values, knowledge, behaviour, demographics or background.
4) Organisation policy and procedures
Ensure that your brief the candidate on the policies and procedures of the company. If the candidate is selected, they should have no problem adapting to the culture. Remember, ensure that your interview works both ways and that the candidate is involved as well!
